State Requirement Images

The stakeholders wanted the State Requirement images to include 3D characters. I worked with a freelancer to sculpt the characters in Blender. I  provided guidelines, a lists of characteristics, examples and color palettes for them to create the characters. After the characters were created, I posed them with props (in Blender), exported them and used photoshop to place them on the backgrounds that I created.

Below, you can see the characters for each silo. At the bottom of this page, you can see an example of what the original images looked like before the redesign.

Duration: Aug 2021 – Present

Role: Creative Lead / Designer

Challenge: One thing that the stakeholders liked about the original images was that the characters were large on the page. The problem was that in order to achieve this, the bottom of the characters were cut off. This didn’t always look intentional. You can see an example of this at the bottom of the page.

Solution: I created backgrounds that the characters could stick out of. This gave an explanation of why their bottom halves weren’t showing.
